Pronunciation

Word	Phonetic	Tip
ごはん		2 syllables. Means both "rice" and "meal"
おいしい		4 syllables: o-i-shi-i. The double "i" is long
ラーメン		The ā is a long "a" sound. From Chinese "la mian"

Grammar tip

を (wo) particle: を marks the direct object of a verb. すしをください = Please give me sushi. 水を飲みます = I drink water. The particle follows the object.
